Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a hike?
No, this is not a hike. The activity takes place on an almost flat terrain unless otherwise noted.
How long does an immersion last?
We’ll be together for 2.5 - 3 hours.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, this experience can't accommodate pets (although we do love them!).
How much does it cost?
Public and virtual immersions are $10/person. Private immersions are $300/immersion and must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
If I can't make it, can I get a refund?
Refunds are available up to 48 hours before an immersion.
What happens if not enough people register for an immersion?
If less than three people are registered for an immersion 48 hours before it’s scheduled to take place, the immersion will not occur. Registered participants will be notified asap and given the option to register for a different immersion or receive a refund.
What is the activity level?
You move at your own pace, often across a distance of less than 0.2 of a mile (1000 ft).
Can I participate if I have limited mobility or a disability?
Yes. Everyone deserves access to nature. Please let us know when you sign up how we can best support you during the immersion.
What should I wear?
Please wear shoes you feel are right for walking on and off a trail and maybe in some mud. You might find yourself kneeling or sitting on the earth, so please wear bottoms that accommodate that.
What should I bring?
No special gear is required. Bring some water for yourself as well as any personal medication needed (Epi-pen, etc.).
Are there restrooms for use?
That depends on where our immersion takes place. Some locations offer portable bathrooms, some have indoor toilets and some have great “facilitrees”.
Why do I need a guide for this?
The truth is that you can immerse yourself in nature without a guide, but the benefits of having one are numerous. A few of them include that a guide helps you make time on your calendar, offers support and safety during the experience and provides a space that is informed by training on how to partner with nature to provide the highest possibility of connection. Read what others have said about the benefits of having a guide.
